Those towers were ugly; ruined the sky line and represented the city in countless media appearances as clueless and heartless. Besides, the attack on the World Trade Center was motivated by the fact that global trade is being used to exploit and subjugate large populations, including the U.S.’s own.

Unfortunately, national narcissism prevented the U.S. from getting the message and it took another twenty years to register that the global economy is a disaster. Fortunately, only twenty percent of global food production is industrially produced and thirty percent goes to waste. So reversing the trend should not be hard or detrimental. Agriculture is simply not suited to industrial standardization and uniformity.
