The prosecutorial dilemma

Because the roles being carried out by prosecutors are illegitimate (not legally approved), prosecutors are constrained to deal favorably with persons who might challenge what they are about.

In effect, financial crimes enjoy a dual layer of protection because money is immaterial and without value and amoral. Money is not the root of evil; it is a disguise.
In a sense, money is like a gun that kills at a distance. Although the instrument of destruction is obvious, who’s wielding the tool is not.
In that sense money and the gun are instruments in a triangular relationship.
