It is my sense that although “global warming” which is actually a misnomer, since it is the atmosphere, rather than the earth, whose average temperature has been increasing, has been a pervasive topic of concern, the actual import of temperature on natural processes has been largely ignored. What, for example, is the role of temperature on avian migration or the growth of vegetation at night?

Current temperature here at eight AM is 67°. I expect that mass of air will keep the hurricane off shore.
