How many Catholics are involved in the subversion of democracy in the U.S? Trump is not a practicing Catholic, but he apparently absorbed the authoritarian attitude during his short stay at Fordham. Cipollone is a graduate of Fordham. Barr is a Catholic. So are six members of the SCOTUS.

Catholicism masks its authoritarianism with fealty to a “higher power” which has no day to day practical effect. It does however proclaim that power, rather than humility, is the name of the game. Is the lust for power supposed to sublimate physical lust?

These are hard questions to answer for someone who experiences neither power nor physical lust as a yearning but does appreciate Lust as an expression of delight. “Das macht mir Lust.”
