How do I know?  A steady supply of desiccated insect hulls left by the spiders tells me so.  Every now and then I actually see one crawling along the ceiling. Some, when one includes their legs are a half dollar in size.  Yesterday I saw a large moth flitting. I imagine they come in through the attic.
