Jeffrey Epstein

“Mother Jones” has published a long article by Leland Nally about Jeffrey Epstein’s acquaintances.

The author has a bit of difficulty understanding his subject and the reason is pretty clear.  He’s dealing with anachronism, a person that in the 1980s and 1990s was behaving like middle aged men of the 1950s.

They were all over New York where families apparently still pimped their daughters to “eligible” men. It was hard to get away from them. I chose a Catholic women’s college in western Pennsylvania to escape. The constant propositioning was really tiresome to the point where a blind date with a basketball player at Columbia U seemed like a refreshingly normal change for a high school girl.

Was it a Jewish or art world thing?  I don’t know.  The blokes at the English Speaking Union seemed similarly inclined.
