A Lovely Dream

I had a dream last night. We were in a garden on a hill side after some storm event that had moved a lot of mud. Some of the shrubs had their roots exposed and after a while, as more mud was displaced, I discovered some brass candlesticks half burried.

There might have been a swimming pool that was partly filled in with mud, but had water on the top and I used it to rinse off the candlesticks. Also in the garden, or rather between it and the street, there was a fence of shelves squaring off the slope of the hill. I hadn't actually noticed it until a man came along with a glass pitcher still half full of mud. He said he'd found at the bottom of the hill, burried in the mud/sand on the beach and he wanted to know if it belonged to me.

When the mud was washed out, I realized it wasn't mine and handed it back. But the man said that he didn't want to take it home and that it would be better to display it on the shelves in the fence with all the other lovely glasses, pitchers and bowls for everyone who comes by to see. If somebody turned up to claim it as their own, that would be fine. But until then, the cut-glass pitcher should just sit there and glitter in the sun.

Don't know what the dream means, but it was lovely being in a place where one's treasures didn't need to be hidden away.
